Growing Character and Developing Leaders: embedding Mental Toughness to develop academic resilience and life skills

We've been working with schools to help them introduce impactful approaches to the developing skills that directly impact performance and outcomes. It's essential for students to develop key character skills and positive attitudes in order to achieve academic success and have the best life chances. Youth development'Make It Count': Values-based transition PSHE sessions designed and introduced to develop character and values in young people at Wollaston School.

After consulting with students and staff, we created a programme that develops mental toughness and character in Year 7 students.  A fantastic impactful PSHE programme that now forms part of the school's transition process and supports the ethos and values of the school. view here...

'Whole-school Behaviour Review': Moving from 'Good' to 'Outstanding'. 

A range of activities coordinated to gather impartial and objective views of pupil behaviour and staff approach. After carrying out observations around school, consultations with young people and informal interviews with staff, we were able to make recommendations and deliver support and training to introduce new ways of working. With clear impact that helped achieve 'Outstanding' behaviour.  View here...

 

'A Hero's Journey' and 'My Journey:My Future' Transition PSHE Project.

The transition PSHE project has been hugely successfully across Northampton schools. Having impacted more than 7500 young people over the last 3 years, we have developed a programme of activities and resources that focus on meta-cognition skills and character traits that help young people learn about their strengths and skills. The programme sees young people developing character traits that help them embrace challenges arising from transition.
